Twitter user and dataminer KralRindo found that the official website of Apex Legends just accidentally teased the Ballistic as new legend in 17th season of the game.
EA and Respawn Entertainment then made changes to the visual appearance of Apex Legends website, but many people have already captured screenshots of it.
Apex Legends Leak: Ballistic and Gift Shop
In the screenshots, a new legend called Ballistic, which has been rumored to be coming in season 17 of the game, is seen with the name of the new season being “Arsenal”.
Ballistic is seen carrying a Smart Pistol, a well-known weapon from the Titanfall universe. This pistol is capable of locking onto enemies and firing bullets that can chase down the locked targets.
In the original game, the Smart Pistol has three locks for human players and one lock for enemy AI to kill them.
It is not clear yet whether the Smart Pistol will be the primary weapon for Ballistic in Apex Legends with its effects significantly reduced, or if it will be a new addition to the game later on. The second leak is about a Gift Shop and Museum that will be coming to Apex Legends.
This leak was found by Twitter user @Aetheon_, who shared images of the Apex Games Museum and Gift Shop. It is not clear what the purpose of the Apex Games Museum will be, but considering that Respawn Entertainment consists of many former Call of Duty developers, it is likely that they will adopt a similar concept from their previous games.
In other words, the Apex Games Museum may feature original maps, legends, and weapons from Apex Legends, along with some changes, in a digital museum.
As for the Gift Shop, it remains a mystery, but speculation suggests that it may offer weapon skins from previous battle passes and some bundles that Respawn Entertainment has released in Apex Legends.
In addition to this information, KralRindo also explained that Apex Legends will receive a new Story from the Outlands related to the new legend.
This Story from the Outlands will have a duration of 4 minutes and 42 seconds and will narrate the background story of the new or existing character in Apex Legends.
According to Thordan Smash, a journalist dedicated to obtaining Apex Legends information, some official announcements regarding season 17 of Apex Legends will be made on May 1st or May 2nd, 2023.
However, it should be noted that apart from Ballistic, the information above should not be taken seriously as Respawn Entertainment may be testing it internally and it has not been officially announced yet.
