According to the Apex Micro Leaks Twitter account (unfortunately, their tweets have been deleted), season 17 of Apex Legends will introduce a ranked play system without splits and a weapon progression system.
The ranked system without splits, known as Ladder Points, is a system where players will start from 0 points and climb indefinitely.
Many factors will give or take away skill points, such as kills, deaths, revives, and others.
According to the AppApexLegends Twitter account (whose tweet was also deleted because Respawn Entertainment staff visited their LinkedIn profile), the Weapon Mastery system mentioned on their website is a reward for completing specific challenges.
This system is similar to the “golden weapon” in games like Call of Duty or Overwatch 2, adapted to Apex Legends.
It will offer its own set of challenges, such as 360 no-scopes, shooting through windows, or defeating enemies with only a few bullets.
Of course, this news has not been confirmed, but we advise you not to believe it until Respawn Entertainment officially announces it on May 1st.
