Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the India Hero Project, a new initiative aimed at fostering the growth of Indian game developers.
The project is an offshoot of the successful PlayStation China Hero Project incubator program, which has helped numerous Chinese developers release popular games such as F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch and ANNO: Mutationem.

India market strategy director of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Radhika Thakur said in an SIE blog:
“As part of our evolving journey to ensure that PlayStation remains the best place to play, we’re committed to developing regional incubator programs capable of identifying new and diverse developers worldwide.
The India Hero Project is fueled by this commitment and our belief in the Indian gaming market.
Through mentorship, training, and project-based investment, PlayStation strives to lower the barrier of entry and showcase the most incredible talents emerging from India.
We’re pleased to announce this new initiative and our call for submissions.”
The India Hero Project seeks to identify and support promising developers in India to create innovative games that can appeal to a global audience.
The project is open to companies of all sizes based in India and registered as PlayStation developers. Interested parties can find more information and apply via the program’s FAQ.
